I approach each project with the idea of what it means to create an environment : aspirations of a client, the echoes of the existing space, the potential alchemy to create a space of enchantment, or simply a place of hiding... materials such as iron, stone, water, plant fibers, minerals, and wood are the inspiration for my design aesthetic, calling upon the primal aspects of design - the relationship of materials to each other and how these materials are fused.
Having a passionate artistic talent, I have a strong desire to create spaces which are unique and beautiful. My extensive architectural design experience with residential and hospitality projects, combined with my experience with truly talented designers, has given me expertise with complex design issues and project management skills; residential / hotel / hospitality design, spas, lobbies, meditation spaces, furniture design, & landscape design. the idea is to create experiences, not just places...
